FURIA beat EXTREMUM to set up rematch with Liquid in cs

The Brazilians left it late to secure Vertigo after a dominant Nuke display.
FURIA are through to the grand final of cs_summit 8 with a 2-0 victory over EXTREMUM in the tournament's consolidation final. The Brazilians were in control for the vast majority of the series despite not winning a single pistol round, picking up a deserved victory that was decorated by imperious displays from Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato and Yuri "yuurih" Santos on Nuke and Vertigo, respectively.
EXTREMUM came close to forcing a third map after finding themselves down 11-4 at the break on their map pick, only to collapse in overtime after wasting two map points. In the end, the Australians were left to rue a series of mistakes that were punished by their clinical opponents.
With this victory, FURIA will have a shot at revenge against Liquid after Friday's thrilling three-map affair, now in an all-deciding best-of-five series. "It feels like we're getting better and progressing after every game," Paytyn "junior" Johnson said after the match. "That Liquid game was a test for us because we stuck through the hard times and almost came back on Inferno."

EXTREMUM came out strongly on Nuke, FURIA's map pick, and raced to a 5-1 lead on the defence, with Sean "Gratisfaction" Kaiwai and Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas both raising eyebrows during the early stages. The Brazilians eventually found their rhythm, and they pinned the Australians against the ropes for the remainder of the half to head into the break up by one round.
Now playing on the T side, EXTREMUM retook the lead off the back of a clean pistol round, but their attacking threat fizzled out once FURIA had money to work with. With KSCERATO leading the charge and racking up several multi-kills, the Brazilians took control of the game, fending off a late come back from their opponents after denying Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand what could have been a game-changing 1v2 clutch at 13-11.
EXTREMUM started Vertigo the brighter of the two sides, but their lead wouldn't last long. FURIA tightened up and immediately took the upper hand, finishing the half with a commanding 11-4 lead and with the momentum clearly in their favour, especially after KSCERATO shockingly pulled off a 1v3 clutch with a defuse through a smoke.
The Australians' quality began to shine through after the break as they shut out the normally lively FURIA offence, hitting map point at 15-13. The map seemed to be as good as over, but FURIA kept their composure to take the game to overtime - in which a stunning 1v3 clutch by yuurih kick-started a dominant 4-0 run.
